Offer description

Middle School Humanities Teacher
The Middle School Humanities Teacher plays a pivotal role in helping boys make sense of their world — inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for human experience, culture, and society. Through engaging, evidence-based teaching, you will bring the Humanities to life, encouraging students to question, explore, analyse, and connect ideas across history, geography, and civics as they navigate their place in an ever-changing world.
Working within the Middle School and in collaboration with the Heads of Department, you will deliver high-quality programmes across Years 7–9. You will cultivate a classroom environment that values rigour, respect, and open inquiry — where every boy is challenged to think deeply, communicate effectively, and develop confidence in his ideas.
This is a
permanent full-time position
, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a team renowned for academic excellence, collaborative spirit, and Christian character.
Who are you?
You are a passionate, skilled Humanities educator who brings enthusiasm, relevance, and perspective to your teaching.

You communicate with clarity, care, and professionalism, building strong relationships with students, families, and peers.
You bring an authentic Christian faith that shapes your approach to teaching, relationships, and service.
Where do you fit in?
You are energised by the opportunity to serve within a Christian, Presbyterian GPS school committed to excellence in boys' education.
You thrive in a collegial, dynamic environment that values curiosity, evidence-based thinking, and respect for differing viewpoints.
You are motivated by purpose — helping boys understand the world around them so they can think critically, act wisely, and contribute meaningfully to society.
You see your role as both educator and mentor — guiding boys to become thoughtful, informed, ethical, and compassionate young men.
How do you serve others?
You design and deliver engaging, well-sequenced Humanities lessons that foster curiosity, critical inquiry, and deep understanding.
You use assessment and feedback purposefully to support every student's growth and learning progress.
You contribute to pastoral care programmes and support student wellbeing as an active participant in the life of the Middle School.
You contribute to co-curricular offerings and College events, modelling Christian character, humility, and community spirit.
