The opportunity

Delaware North Australia is seeking an organized and diligent full-time Payroll Scheduler to join the Accounting team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin. As Payroll Scheduler, you will look after rosters and timesheets and other payroll-related inputs to ensure our 600+ employees are paid accurately and on time.

While this is a junior role, you will gain hands‐on exposure to payroll operations within a broader finance environment, supported by experienced leaders and a collaborative team.

What you will do?

This role offers regular interaction with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, from new starters to executive leadership. You will partner across a broad range of functions including gaming, food and beverage, hotel, resort and spa, as well as key back-office teams that keep the operation running.

While the workforce you support is based in Darwin, the role involves regular collaboration with colleagues across other sites in Melbourne or elsewhere on payroll‐related matters and shared processes.

* Track and validate timesheets ahead of payroll processing
* Ensure hours worked, overtime, penalties, and allowances are accurately recorded
* Identify and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll cut‐off
* Process leave requests
* Administer and maintain TimeTarget, including training for managers and team members where required
* Generate reports on staffing levels, attendance, and labour usage
* Analyse trends to improve future scheduling decisions

More about you

* Qualification in Business Administration (or similar), or experience in office administration
* Experience with high-volume rostering in a gaming or hospitality environment is highly desirable
* Strong technical proficiency with the ability to confidently navigate software systems and basic to intermediate command of XL
* Knowledge of Australian employment legislation is a bonus
* Strong understanding of operational requirements within a medium to large organisation
* Previous experience using TimeTarget is highly regarded
