To be considered for this role your application must include a relevant cover letter The Role: Located in Adelaide and reporting to a Senior Accountant, the role will provide support to the Senior Accountant and Finance Manager in completing critical month end tasks as well as accounting support and reporting for Business Managers. This role will support the Accounting team in meeting all deadlines based on high quality and best practice reporting to industry standards. This role will also undertake business process improvement projects to drive process efficiencies. Key Responsibilities include: Completion of the end of the month accounts for all Business Divisions within strict deadlines Commentaries on the accounts to business managers including explanations of key variances Ensuring accuracy of the Trial Balance Reconciliations of the intercompany accounts Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolution of issues Analysis of employees costs such as WorkCover, super, annual leave & deductions Daily bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting Other ad-hoc reports and project as required Completion of year end accounts and reporting for all Business Divisions Assistance with year-end audit preparation and responding to auditor queries Familiarise and work in accordance with WHS and QMS systems, policies and procedures. To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will demonstrate: 2-3 years’ experience in a financial accounting role within a large, multinational organization Part-qualified or studying towards CPA/CA Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail Self-motivated and driven to achieve results and resolve issues Excellent Excel skills and good level of IT literacy Sound working knowledge of payroll tax, work cover, FBT and GST Ideally conversant with Finance One General Ledger System Why HCA?
