Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced WebMethods Integration Consultant to join our team and play a crucial role in the migration of our existing WebMethods platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with WebMethods Integration Server, WebMethods Designer, Terracotta, and related features. They will possess a strong understanding of WebMethods architecture, integration patterns, and best practices for high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR). This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
In this role, you will analyse existing WebMethods flows, services, Java services, and map services to understand their functionality and dependencies. You will configure and optimise WebMethods IS, Broker, UM, MWS, TN, and Adapters in the new RHEL environment. Additionally, you will design and develop migration strategies and solutions for moving WebMethods components to a new environment or version, support with backup and patching strategies for infrastructure, and help plan and execute cutover to new WebMethods instances, ensuring rollback plans are in place. Testing migrated components to ensure each component functions as it does on-premises will also be a key part of your responsibilities.
Furthermore, you will collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure a seamless transition, troubleshoot and monitor integration/migration-related issues, and implement effective resolutions. Documenting processes, configurations, and migration steps to support operational teams post-migration will be essential. You will also provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams as needed, ensuring they are well-equipped to manage the new environment.
Qualifications
* Experience with IBM WebMethods Integration Server, Universal Messaging, Terracotta, Adapters, and other related products.
* Proven expertise in WebMethods Integration Server migration projects, particularly from AIX to RHEL or similar Big Endian to Little Endian migrations.
* Proficiency in web services technologies such as REST and SOAP.
* Experience configuring various built-in (JDBC, JMS, MQ) and custom adapters.
* Deep understanding of integration patterns, API management, and messaging protocols.
* Understanding of HA (High Availability) and DR (Disaster Recovery) solutions for IBM WebMethods.
* Familiarity with WebMethods Deployer for deployment automation.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Implementation of High Availability through Terracotta for stateful services.
* Knowledge of integrating DB2 as a backend database.
* Experience with cloud environments such as GCP or AWS.
* Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD in the context of IBM WebMethods.
* Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform for deployment and configuration management.
