Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Full‐time Cook to join our team at Indian Curry Hutt Logan.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to our menu and recipes
* Ensure all dishes are cooked to the highest quality and presentation standards
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
* Assist with menu planning and development, including creating new and innovative dishes
* Monitor and manage inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
* Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation and quality
* Collaborate with management to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines
* Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Skills
* Minimum 12 months experience as a Cook in a restaurant or catering setting
* Knowledge and understanding of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Must have a valid Food Safety Certificate
* Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is $75,000 to $82,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a supportive and inclusive work environment, opportunities for career growth and development, and staff discounts on meals.
