About the Role
We are on the lookout for a creative and motivated Ecommerce & Retail Assistant to play a key role in both our online presence and day-to-day operations. This is a diverse role where you'll manage product listings, assist with marketing activities, maintain accurate inventory across the stores, and provide exceptional customer and sales support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of ecommerce management, hands-on retail tasks, and customer interaction.
This newly created part-time position (2 days per week) offers flexible hours that may be split over 3 days, based at our O'Connor warehouse.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
About You
You may be a student studying in a related field seeking hands-on experience, or a seasoned professional looking for a flexible role.
You will ideally have:
Experience with Shopify and Mailchimp, or similar ecommerce/marketing platforms.
A minimum of 1+ years experience with Shopify is required.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in product and inventory management.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
Reliable, positive, and able to work both independently and within a small team.
SEO or digital marketing experience is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
Website Management & Marketing
Manage the Shopify back-end and associated integrations.
Update the Magento 2 back-end with the assistance of our developer.
Create new products and update listings across our ecommerce platforms, ensuring accuracy across both stores.
Maintain site merchandising, promotions, and assist with social media campaigns.
Optimise content for SEO, conversions, and brand consistency.
Monitor site health and troubleshoot website issues as they arise.
Inventory Management
Maintain inventory accuracy, including receiving purchases and stock transfers.
Set up new product bundles and maintain existing ones to ensure accurate component-level stock control.
Assist with order fulfilment and monitor backorders to ensure timely customer communication.
Provide friendly, helpful sales support across phone orders, in-store interactions, and product enquiries.
Assist with fulfilling and shipping online orders.
