Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounts in Xero.
* Handle statutory compliance requirements, including filing of taxes, EPF, and SOCSO contributions.
* Assist with accounts receivable and payable functions.
* Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
* Assist with billings in Xero and claim preparation.
* Manage daily cost tracking to ensure correct WBS/Project use and monitor cost control.
* Prepare end-of-month journals and accruals.
* Conduct end-of-month cost reviews and project margin analysis.
* Communicate with key stakeholders promptly to manage outcomes against expectations.
* Attend weekly finance meetings and monthly Results Review meetings to present forecasts and results with commentary.
Requirements
* Certificate, Diploma or Degree in accounting.
* CPA highly advantageous.
* 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero, EFTsure) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Strong understanding of tax regulations.
* Strong analytical and communication skills (proficient in English).
