Role overview
As our Senior Audiologist, you'll work closely with the clinic owner to elevate clinical excellence and reinforce our position as a trusted, patient‐centred provider.
In this dynamic role, you'll lead the way in delivering a full spectrum of hearing assessments—from routine screenings to complex diagnostics—translating your findings into clear and strong recommendations for our extensive referral network.
You'll play a vital role in transforming lives through tailored hearing solutions, confidently guiding both private, HSP and DVA clients toward the hearing aids and assistive technologies that best enhance their communication and quality of life, including Cochlear Implant.
Beyond clinical work, your strategic insight will help steer the clinic forward. You'll advise the owner on emerging national and international trends, policy changes, and innovations that could shape the future of our operations.
Key responsibilities
Seek out meaningful opportunities to enhance our services so patients and families receive the best possible support at every stage of their hearing healthcare journey
Work collaboratively with ENT specialists, speech pathologists, paediatric teams and other allied health partners to ensure truly integrated, holistic care
Keep informed of emerging technologies and thoughtfully guide equipment upgrades that improve comfort, accuracy and the overall patient experience
Introduce innovative clinical models and workflows that make care more accessible, more efficient and more personalised
Clinical governance & quality assurance
Maintaining high clinical standards and ensure our services meet all relevant Australian guidelines and professional frameworks (Audiology Australia, HSP, NDIS, Medicare)
Promote a culture of best‐practice, evidence‐based care that supports safe, consistent and compassionate service delivery
Monitor quality outcomes and lead continual improvements so patients, families and referrers can trust they are always receiving exceptional care
Patient care & clinical expertise
Provide advanced diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services with empathy, clarity and clinical excellence
Lead the fitting, verification and validation of hearing devices—including hearing aids and cochlear implants—ensuring each solution truly meets the patient's needs and lifestyle
Manage complex or sensitive clinical cases and offer supportive guidance to colleagues when escalation is needed
Demonstrate a deeply patient‐centred approach, ensuring each person feels heard, respected and supported throughout their care
Conduct Cochlear implant candidacy assessments, supporting surgeons with pre‐operative care, and providing post‐operative device fitting and aftercare. While implant experience is an advantage, a passion for learning and excellence is what truly matters
Perform wax removal
Key selection criteria
A recognised tertiary qualification in Audiology (Australia)
Full membership or clinical certification with Audiology Australia (or equivalent)
At least 7 years of post‐graduate clinical experience, including 3+ years in a senior or leadership capacity
Advanced capability in navigating Microsoft Windows environments and strong working knowledge of current iOS and Androidtechnologies
Experience within public health environments such as state health services or the Hearing Services Program
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with a warm, patient‐focused approach
Hearing Implant switch on and support experience
Certified and experienced in wax removal
Prior qualifications in nursing
