What You'll Be Doing
You will support senior technicians in both the workshop and out in the field:
Hands-On Workshop Duties
* Cleaning, testing, and refurbishing two-way radios & accessories
* Basic repairs (with guidance)
* Labelling, preparing, and dispatching equipment
* Organising and maintaining stock, tools, batteries, antennas
Cabling & Installation Preparation
* Cutting, terminating, labelling, and testing cables
* Assembling equipment kits for site installations
* Mounting brackets, preparing hardware, and ensuring materials are ready
On-Site Field Support
* Shadowing senior technicians on customer sites
* Running cables, mounting equipment, and completing setup tasks
* Assisting with system testing & identifying basic faults
General Technical Support
* Workshop organisation
* Following safety procedures
* Completing simple paperwork & test records
* Providing friendly, professional service when interacting with customers
What We're Looking For
Essential Attributes
* Entry-level trainee position
* Strong interest in telecommunications, communications technology, electrical work, or electronics
* Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and pride in your work
* Comfortable using hand tools or small power tools
* Good communication skills and team mindset
Qualifications (Essential)
* Certificate II or III in Electronics, Communications, Electrical or similar
(If recently completed or currently completing — perfect)
* White Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Willingness to complete silica/asbestos awareness training
* Able to pass pre-employment checks
Desirable
* Australian driver's licence
* Any hands-on experience with cabling, electronics, workshop tasks
