About the Role
Curtin University's School of Nursing is inviting applications for a part‐time (0.4 FTE), permanent Lecturer (Teaching Academic) in the Paramedicine discipline. The role is based on the Curtin Bentley Campus.
The teaching responsibilities include delivering a mix of online, distributed and face‐to‐face activities that enhance student learning. The Lecturer will collaborate on curriculum design, assess student needs, provide tailored support, and supervise postgraduate and honours students. Ongoing professional development and effective administration are encouraged, along with supporting first‐year students' transition and providing equitable assistance to diverse populations.
The position offers a salary range of $118,308–$140,147 (ALB) pro rata, plus 17% superannuation. Teaching hours are Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday (7.5 hours each day).
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered as a Paramedic with AHPRA.
* Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation for a Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role).
* High‐level teaching skills with a reflective approach to delivery.
* Strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary practice relevant to paramedicine.
* Emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching.
* Experience or capacity for unit coordination.
* High‐level communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with a commitment to a collegial, supportive environment and cross‐cultural sensitivity.
* Commitment to applying relevant policies, procedures, and legislation in day‐to‐day functions.
