Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

This is a maternity leave cover position, working 46 hours per fortnight in Bunbury. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering domestic supports within the home and community, as well as supporting customers to engage in community-based activities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have well-developed interpersonal skills, passion for providing service and assistance, and a willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties.

You will also need to have a valid driver's licence and be willing to use your private vehicle for work purposes. Additionally, you will be required to undergo NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance prior to commencement.

About the Role


Duties and Responsibilities:

* Delivering a wide range of domestic supports within the home and community;
* Supporting customers to engage in community-based activities;
* Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals;
* Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
* Administration duties, expense and mandatory reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications


What You'll Need?

* Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
* Passion for providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives
* Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration
* Willingness to assist with personal care (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)
* Ability to manage situations as they arise with patience and maturity;
* A Valid drivers licence and a willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with Activ's motor vehicle allowance rebate).
