Overview
KOTUG Port Hedland Towage is seeking a proactive Procurement & Logistics Coordinator to support our towage operations in Port Hedland. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with operations, vendors, and finance to ensure the smooth supply of goods and services to a marine environment.
About the role
You will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day procurement and logistics activities, ensuring timely supply, cost & inventory control, and strong vendor relationships while supporting operational and technical requirements. This role also plays a key part in driving continual improvement across procurement and logistics activities, supporting long‐term operational efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate procurement of goods, services, and logistics in line with operational and technical needs
* Source and manage suppliers, including obtaining quotes and placing purchase orders
* Liaise with operations, vessels, and technical stakeholders to understand requirements
* Track orders and deliveries to ensure timely supply
* Support inventory control and stock management activities
* Work closely with finance to support an efficient procure-to-pay process
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
* Collaborate with technical, operations, and finance teams to forecast future demand and align procurement planning with budgets
* Assist in identifying supply‐chain risks and developing mitigation strategies, including alternative sourcing and forward‐ordering of critical items
* Provide procurement input into long‐term operational planning, contract strategies, and continuous improvement planning
About you
* 3+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, purchasing, or supply chain roles
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Confident communicator who enjoys working with multiple teams
* Strong efficiency in the operation of purchasing systems, ERPs and Microsoft Office
* Experience in maritime, mining, or remote operations environments will be highly regarded
