Job Title: Linac Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Linac Engineer to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated field service engineering team, maintaining radiotherapy equipment located at multiple sites across WA metro locations.
The key responsibilities for this role include providing breakdown, maintenance, and repair services for Linear Accelerators and associated equipment. Additionally, the successful candidate will perform routine troubleshooting and repairs on designated modalities with guidance from qualified engineers, diagnose problems while working within escalation procedures, and perform routine calibrations and preventative maintenance on designated and secondary modalities.
As a member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting signal flow on blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and supporting engineers to provide ongoing preventative maintenance and quality assurance testing. You will also be required to submit timely and accurate service request database and records, expense reports, TLD badges, and other administrative work as assigned in CMMS MEX, such as inventory management for parts and company equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical) or relevant work experience
* A passion and enthusiasm to learn
* Ability to develop strong external relationships with various agencies and key stakeholders
* Eligible for a state Radiation use licence
* Eligible for State/Australian restricted electrical licence
* Valid driver's licence for the state you are employed in
* Demonstrated time management, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently or as a member of a multidisciplinary team
* Previous experience on Elekta Linear Accelerators essential

* Routine travel to local and occasional trips to regional sites to perform necessary duties
