This is a full-time opportunity suited to a motivated professional who takes pride in delivering high-standard finishes across a range of projects.The successful candidate will work across various sites, contributing to both new construction and renovation projects, ensuring all painting work is completed to the highest industry standards.**Key Responsibilities**1. Setting up access equipment such as scaffolding and ladders, and installing protective coverings to safeguard surrounding surfaces2. Preparing surfaces for painting by stripping old coatings, repairing timber elements, patching imperfections, and ensuring smooth, sealed finishes3. Mixing, selecting, and adjusting paints to achieve specified colours and textures by combining appropriate proportions of pigments, oils, and thinning and drying additives, ensuring correct consistency, durability, and finish as per surface and application requirements.4. Applying coatings including paints, stains, and varnishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment5. Installing wallpaper, ensuring accurate alignment of patterns and precise edge finishing6. Maintaining cleanliness of tools, equipment, and workspaces throughout and after completion of tasks7. Carrying out minor glazing work, including repairing window structures and replacing glass where required**What We're Looking For**1. Relevant AQF trade qualification in Painting and Decorating or equivalent2. Minimum **1 of practical experience**3. Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and finishing applications4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team across multiple job sites5. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship6. Knowledge of workplace safety standards and safe handling of materials7.
