We are seeking a Senior Technician - Chemistry to join the Faculty of Science at Queensland University of Technology.
This role is responsible for delivering specialist Chemistry support, aligned with agreed policies and procedures, to enable efficient technical support of teaching, research, and engagement activities.
The successful candidate will provide custodianship for selected facilities and equipment, including access, scheduling, maintenance, logistics, inspections, documentation, and health and safety compliance.

Faculty Operations
The Faculty Operations organisational area provides operational support to the faculty, consisting of Professional Staff who:
* Deliver technical services and space management.
What You Need to Succeed
1. Hold a relevant degree, accompanied by relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training, preferably in a Chemistry laboratory or industry research environment.
2. Demonstrate the ability to interpret client requirements and develop detailed undergraduate practical laboratory support solutions using a wide range of laboratory skills and experience.
3. Show the ability to apply fundamental Chemistry principles to various educational and/or research applications in pursuit of academic excellence.
4. Demonstrate experience in preparing clear and concise documentation and communicating effectively with diverse clients.
5. Demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks, evaluate systems and processes critically, and work collaboratively to achieve team-based outcomes in a fast-paced and changing environment.
6. Show the ability to establish and maintain an effective health and safety culture.
