Silverstrand is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team. You will be based in our Brisbane sites. Project - Caboolture - Pump station, Pipe work, Structures work. Principle contractor and subcontractor experience on Bridges, Rail, Pipelines, Concrete works, Renewable energy, Earthworks projects.
Base Salary + Super + Vehicle + Bonus Structure.
About the Role - reporting to the Project Manager:
* Working on Civil and Structures projects across Australia.
* Working with the project team to organise all required labour, plant and equipment and any other materials required to ensure project delivery as well as outlining short and medium-term workflow.
* Ensuring that the project works are completed safely and in compliance with Silverstrand and our client's procedures, engineering drawings/ specifications, budgets and timeframes.
* Overseeing projects under the guidance of the Project Manager.
* Prepare, monitor and update plans and working to weekly and monthly programs.
* Provide engineering and technical advice to the project team.
* Assist with Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers.
* Ensuring quality requirements are being met.
* Programming and planning of the works.
* Preparing monthly financial reports including cost to complete forecasts.
* Compile contracts according to the Company's project management philosophy and implement corrective actions for the efficient utilisation of plant and labour hires.
* Experience with project programming, cost and quality control, procurement and supplier engagement.
* Monitor and review work plans and programs against contractual and financial targets.
* Maintain, reconcile, and report on costing and forecast management.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar is desirable
* Minimum 7 years experience on civil infrastructure projects.
* Delivering self-perform works.
* Ability to read drawings and interpret plans.
* Programming & Cost Control.
* Excellent safety record from previous projects.
