About this Role:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing purchasing transactions to maintain inventories of materials, equipment, supplies and products, as directed by the government.
Other Key Responsibilities include:
* Process procurement tasks using mandated systems and technology.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and processes.
* Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with government systems and policies.
* Respond to customer and supplier inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations.
* Contact suppliers to prioritize, schedule, or expedite deliveries and resolve issues such as shortages or late deliveries.
* Contribute to collaborative innovation through continuous improvement initiatives and participation in business improvement teams.
* Support Managers, Supervisors, and team members in the application of the Defence Maintenance Contract.
About You:
To be successful in your application you must be an Australian citizen and be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Base Line.
Other requirements:
* Competent in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Experience in a customer service role
* Knowledge of purchasing systems, account management and reports ideal, but not required to apply for the position.
