Role Description
We are partnering with a respected consultancy to support the delivery of a high-profile Federal-Government program. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex initiative, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while managing scope, budget, risk, and quality. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Planning & Initiation: Define scope, objectives, and deliverables; develop detailed plans and schedules.
* Team Leadership: Assemble and guide project teams; foster collaboration and communication.
* Resource Management: Allocate and monitor resources effectively.
* Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
* Budget Oversight: Manage budgets and track expenditures.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison; provide regular updates and manage expectations.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet high standards through robust control processes.
* Monitoring & Reporting: Track performance and prepare comprehensive status reports.
* Problem-Solving: Resolve challenges promptly to maintain project momentum.
* Project Closure: Conduct reviews, document learnings, and finalise all obligations.
What We Need From You
* Proven experience managing complex projects from initiation to closure.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
* Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and competing priorities.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Relevant certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are highly regarded.
* Experience in government or regulated environments is advantageous.
Security Clearance Requirement
Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens with an active NV1 clearance.
