**Assistant Director of Nursing – Perioperative Services****The Wesley Hospital | UnitingCare****Make a meaningful difference with The Wesley Hospital and UnitingCare** The Wesley Hospital is seeking an experienced perioperative nursing leader to join our Clinical Services Leadership team as Assistant Director of Nursing – Perioperative Services.Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, this is a broad and strategic leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services across our Perioperative Care portfolio, including General Theatres, Cardiac Catheter Theatre, Day Surgery, Endoscopy, PACU/Anaesthetics and CSSD.Working closely with a skilled team of Clinical Nurse Managers, you will support the coordination, development and continuous improvement of care delivery, while ensuring effective management of people, resources and service performance.As a senior leader within The Wesley Hospital, you will drive a culture of patient-centred care, service excellence and continuous improvement, aligned with contemporary clinical practice, emerging trends and industry standards.## **Your part in The Wesley Hospital*** **Lead and support high-performing perioperative teams and Clinical Nurse Managers*** Drive patient safety, quality outcomes and service excellence* Oversee workforce planning, budgets, theatre utilisation and operational performance* Contribute to strategic planning, service development and continuous improvement initiatives* Partner with Visiting Medical Practitioners and key stakeholders* Ensure compliance with clinical governance frameworks, NSQHS Standards and WHS requirements### **What makes a difference for us?** You are an experienced and collaborative leader, confident in navigating complex clinical environments and engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.You will bring:* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse* Extensive senior leadership experience in perioperative or procedural services* Strong operational capability, including financial, workforce and resource management* Demonstrated ability to lead in complex, fast-paced surgical environments* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and manage expectations* Sound knowledge of contemporary clinical trends, legislation and quality standards* Highly developed strategic thinking, with experience in planning and implementing service improvements**Desirable*** Postgraduate qualifications in perioperative nursing and/or leadership* Experience with clinical and workforce systems (e.g. Cerner, Kronos, TrendCare or similar)**What makes a difference for you?*** **NFP Salary Packaging:** Save tax and increase your take home pay by salary packaging your everyday living expenses and bills (up to $15,900) and meal entertainment (up to $2,650) per annum.
