Principal Industrial Relations Consultant
Strategic Employee Relations is a contemporary management consultancy based in Adelaide but works across the country. We specialise in industrial relations to service top-tier clients. This is a great opportunity for an employment lawyer seeking a change and wanting to perform hands-on workplace relations work.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience or an interest in enterprise bargaining projects.
Who are we?
We are a growing team of 6 based in Norwood, Adelaide.
We assist clients across Australia with developing and implementing progressive workplace relations strategies, including Industrial Relations Strategies, enterprise agreement negotiations, workplace investigations, dispute resolution, tender support, or merger and acquisition due diligence impacting industrial instruments and employment relations.
Our clients operate in diverse industries such as oil & gas, defence, construction, transport, stevedoring, health, and retail, ensuring varied and engaging work each day.
What will the role involve?
You will work on challenging workplace relations projects, many of which are hands-on and involve direct client engagement. Responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing workplace relations strategies, including enterprise agreement negotiations and direct engagement models;
* Assisting in workforce strategies for tendering in large private and public sector contracts;
* Conducting workplace training on topics like workplace behaviour;
* Handling sensitive workplace investigations;
* Providing secondment arrangements with clients for specialised expertise;
* Performing wage compliance reviews, including underpayment rectification and M&A due diligence;
* Keeping clients updated with industry changes;
* Offering expert advice on modern awards, enterprise agreements, performance management, change management projects, and employee entitlements.
