Wealth Services division includes two wholly owned subsidiaries: Leveraged Equities Ltd, Australia's longest-standing margin lender, offering gearing and cash solutions to retail and institutional investors, as well as referral partners and platforms, for over 30 years; and Sandhurst Trustees Ltd, providing managed funds, corporate trustee and custodial services.
About the role
We have a great opportunity for a Business Development Manager – Direct, to proactively develop and manage new direct business enquires for Wealth (Primarily Leveraged Equities) and drive growth with the seamless onboarding and customer activation for non-advised accounts. This is a great role if you are interested in developing and furthering your career as a business development manager within wealth services.
You will get to:
* Respond to all external and internal Direct Sales leads including educating and informing clients of gearing and wealth strategies to drive conversion rates and net sales
* Assist with customer campaigns and other outbound activities
* Execute seamless customer onboarding and customer service to drive advocacy and retention
* Develop a deeper understanding of margin lending, equities markets and online share trading industry and be at the forefront of industry and market knowledge
* Build strong working relationships with internal partners across the bank to facilitate client and partner solutions
This is a permanent full-time opportunity located in either Melbourne or Sydney.
About you
To be successful you will have:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications i.e. Economics, Business, Commerce or similar with RG 146 accreditation in Margin Lending essential
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of, margin lending, gearing strategies, investments and managed funds and as a SME have the ability to educate and advise
* Excellent sales and customer service skills with the ability to identify needs and close sales
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationship with all stakeholders
* Advanced numerical skills with the ability to provide tailor made solutions
* Driven and with an initiative-taking self-starter disposition
