Protecting vulnerable children requires a multifaceted approach that integrates various aspects of child protection services. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accountable and collaborative integrated child protection services for complex and sensitive cases in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, statutory responsibilities, and the child protection framework for practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, including children, young people, and their families, NGOs, service providers, medical professionals, police, and others to provide high-quality, strength-based child protection practice in complex and sensitive cases.
* Maintain high-quality case records in accordance with departmental case management requirements. Prepare, and support less experienced Child Safety Officers to prepare, quality case management reports.
* Develop and contribute to continuous quality improvement strategies, drawing on professional practice experience in relevant child protection fields to provide coaching and mentoring to new and less experienced Child Safety Officers and to Child Safety Support Officers by providing support and advice and demonstrating quality practice to develop their skills and knowledge.
