The Clinical Nurse Manager role is a vital position within the healthcare sector, requiring a skilled and experienced professional to oversee the clinical team and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
This individual will be responsible for providing advanced clinical patient care and staff support, promoting best practices in the department. They will need to manage human and material resources effectively, as well as communicate with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
* Lead the clinical team, ensuring adherence to ACORN standards and AS/NZ 4187.
* Provide expert clinical patient care and support, promoting excellence in the department.
* Organise and adjust staff rotas to ensure safe practice guidelines are followed.
* Manage staff performance and development, overseeing recruitment processes where necessary.
* Implement and monitor nursing practice standards in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
* Coordinate clinical governance activities to align with national safety and quality health standards.
Requirements:
* Advanced clinical practice relevant to perioperative settings.
* Proven experience in managing resources and teams effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A demonstrated ability in continuous quality improvement principles and clinical governance strategies.
* Eligibility for or possession of a current C Class driver's licence.
* Up-to-date knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements affecting the healthcare sector.
* (Desirable) A post-graduate qualification in a related field.
* (Desirable) Experience or understanding of rural and remote area health services.
