On behalf of our clients, Global TeamUps are recruiting for a skilled and experienced Dairy Cattle Farm Operator to use their knowledge and skills to work with husband and wife team milking 250 cows on Cobram dairy farm.
Applicants must have a passion for the dairy industry and have experience in assisting a management team in a dairy operation.
Required skills and experience:
- 3+ years dairy experience
- A comprehensive knowledge of animal health and welfare and husbandry
- Experience with irrigated pasture and silage management
- Experience with PMR and TMR dairying operations
- Able to perform Artificial Insemination
- Experience using operate mixer wagon, tractor and loader
- Australian drivers license
Key responsibilities:
Working in all aspects of day-to-day dairy operations including complete milk harvesting, prestart, milking and clean-up, maintaining quality and assurance records, ensuring herd health
This is a full-time position which may involve weekend or public holidays work and some unplanned hours of work where the need arises.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
