About Our Client:
Our client is a well-established and respected name in the retail industry, with a national footprint and a strong customer focus. Due to continued growth and business demand, they are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team based in Moorabbin.
Key Responsibilities:
Full function accounts payable processing in a high-volume workplace
Timely and accurate processing of invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvals
Managing payment runs (EFT, cheque, credit card) and employee reimbursements
Reconciling supplier statements and handling complex queries
Supporting month-end processes including accruals and AP reporting
Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve discrepancies
Assisting with process improvement initiatives and AP system enhancements
Acting as a senior point of contact within the AP team and providing guidance where required
Key Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in a senior accounts payable role, ideally in a high-volume setting
Previous experience in the retail industry is highly regarded
Robust working knowledge of large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
Solid Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
