About the role

We are seeking a highly capable Finance Manager to join our client in Shepparton, Victoria. This company is a long standing manufacturing business with a highly successful track record of supplying a wide range of equipment and services throughout Australia and overseas. This company is enjoying substantial growth, and has a solid pipeline of business ahead.

As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations and strategic direction of this company. This is a full-time position based at the Shepparton operation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities for the company.

- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the overall business objectives.

- Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

- Provide insightful financial analysis to help inform key business decisions.

- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

- Manage the small finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.

- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to integrate financial considerations into all aspects of the business.

- Ensure the company maintains a strong system of internal controls and risk management practices.

Background & Experience:

- Proven track record of at least 10 years' experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and membership with a professional accounting body (CPA or CA).

- Excellent financial management and reporting skills, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate a team.

- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret financial data to support business decision-making.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both financial and non-financial team members.

- Importantly, we are looking for a candidate that has the capability and track record in working closely with all company team members, including shop floor, sales, operations and engineering.
