The aims of the program are to:
provide support and guidance to the early entry career Registered Midwif
- e develop self-confidence, critical thinking, decision making, clinical skills and clinical competence as part of the multifaceted role of the Registered Midwif
- e provide realistic learning experiences to consolidate professional and personal development per the standards of practice, code of conduct and national accreditation standards in caring for women throughout their pregnancy, birth, postnatal period and infants requiring special care

Grampians Health is a major teaching and research health organisation, which serves the whole of Western Victoria/Grampians region, from Bacchus Marsh to the South Australian border. This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Registered Midwife (YS12 - YS8) which ranges from $41.36 - $52.20 per hour.
