Job Opportunity

The role of a volunteer firefighter requires individuals to contribute to ensuring community safety. The position involves responding to local emergencies, such as structure fires and bushfires, working with the community to identify and manage fire risk, undertaking fire prevention activities, and improving family and household fire safety.

* Responsibilities include firefighting (structural and bushfire), equipment maintenance, hazardous materials management (HAZMAT), road crash rescue, administration, and community safety education.

This is a long-term commitment requiring volunteers to dedicate more than six months. Regular training sessions are held on Monday evenings with courses every 2-3 months as needed.
