The Role:
* We are currently seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Allocator to support our Buying and Inventory Planning teams.
This role involves providing administrative and operational assistance to ensure accurate product information, effective stock allocation, and smooth replenishment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Stock Allocation & Replenishment: Allocate new season products and replenish stores based on sales demand and capacity to maximise sell-through.
* Store Profiling & Demand Planning: Match product allocations to store profiles demographics and performance aligning with retail sales strategies.
* Inventory Management: Track purchase orders balance stock between stores/warehouse and manage transfers to optimise sales and reduce risk.
* Sales & Analysis: Monitor sales and stock levels providing insights to identify opportunities mitigate overstock and support trading decisions.
* Collaboration: Partner with planners category managers supply chain and store teams to support launches promotions and product flow.
* Systems & Reporting: Use allocation tools to manage stock flow maintain accurate records and deliver regular reporting on allocation effectiveness.
* Administration & Coordination: Generate purchase orders maintain product/vendor data liaise with suppliers and support seasonal planning and forecasting.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Proven experience in stock allocation replenishment or merchandise planning within retail.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales demand and stock data to drive decisions.
* High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Proficiency in inventory management and allocation systems e.g. Toolio Excel or similar.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and store managers.
* Ability to balance competing priorities and adapt to fast-paced dynamic retail environments.
* Commercial mindset with a focus on maximising sales and minimising risk.
* Advanced Excel skills and confidence in reporting forecasting and trend analysis.
* Experience liaising with suppliers managing purchase orders and maintaining accurate product/vendor data.
