* Position: Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC)
* Location: West Coast District Hospital, Queenstown, Tasmania
* Employment: Permanent, full time, day worker - up to 76 hours per fortnight
* Purpose: Provide expert clinical leadership and consultancy across inpatient and emergency services, supporting safe, high‑quality care and continuous improvement in a rural hospital setting

Key Responsibilities
* Provide advanced clinical expertise and guidance to nursing and multidisciplinary teams
* Lead initiatives that improve patient outcomes, safety, and service delivery
* Support development and implementation of clinical standards, protocols, and quality improvement strategies
* Act as a clinical resource and mentor, promoting evidence‑based practice and clinical excellence
* Work within a safety and quality framework in collaboration with the NUM and DON
Skills & Experience Required
* Advanced clinical knowledge in rural health nursing, including emergency and inpatient care
* Demonstrated understanding of primary health care principles and contemporary nursing practice
* Proven ability to lead clinical initiatives and contribute to service development
* Experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management
* Highly developed communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teamwork

Appointment Details
* Permanent, full‑time, day worker position
* Commencement as soon as possible (hours negotiable)
* Selection process may be used to fill similar full‑time, part‑time, or casual roles for up to 12 months
Salary & Allowances
* Salary: $118,297 - $125,543 per annum + 12% superannuation
(In accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023)
* Postgraduate Allowance: Up to 10% (based on qualification type)
Regional Allowances
* Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance: $3,797 per annum
* 10% remote allowance
Salary Packaging
* Up to $9,010 per annum for living expenses
* Up to $2,650 per annum for meal entertainment
* Additional benefits may apply
