The Sous Chef plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of dietary and catering requirements for residents. This position contributes to making Opal a great place to work by fostering good relationships with colleagues and upholding the company's values.
Main Responsibilities:
* Meet or exceed service standards
* Provide outstanding customer experiences at every meal
* Prepare and serve meals according to resident dietary requirements and restrictions
* Know resident preferences and offer choice at every meal
* Proactively seek feedback and implement improvements
Culinary Services:
* Create nutritious meals and snacks within set timelines and requirements
* Contribute to menu development
* Deliver meal experiences for residents and Additional Services customers
* Maintain knowledge of the complete menu, daily specials, and available items
* Ensure quality and presentation of dishes before serving
Quality Assurance:
* Record accurate catering information/data for monthly reports and stock control
* Manage sensitive resident data/information
* Prepare high-quality meals in line with food safety standards
Commercial Operations:
* Place orders in accordance with procurement guidelines
* Receive deliveries as per established processes
* Order ingredients in a timely manner
