Are you passionate about data quality and making a real impact in the health sector? We are seeking a Health Data Management Officer to join a supportive data collection management and support team within the Victorian public sector. It is a contract opportunity through to end of June 2026.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Health Information Management Advisor, you will support the acquisition and management of health data from Victorian health services. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to ensure data quality, compliance with business rules, and timely delivery of key datasets to support reporting and decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
* Support patient‑level and aggregate health data collections
* Assist with data acquisition, data standards and annual updates
* Interpret and apply data business rules and resolve data quality issues
* Work with health services to improve data compliance, accuracy and timelines
About you
* An understanding of data management concepts and data quality principles
* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently
* Experience working with health data, government datasets or regulated environments
* A tertiary qualification in health information management would be desirable but is not essential
