About The Opportunity
Be part of an exciting Patient Safety Team that is deeply committed to improving the safety and quality of care for every patient. In this vital role, you will work alongside a supportive and dynamic group of professionals who are passionate about making a real difference. You'll have the opportunity to enhance and refine your communication, analytical, and leadership skills while guiding clinicians and managers in the effective use of the IMS+ system to manage and report clinical incidents. You will play a key role supporting quality-driven change across the hospital and Local Health District. What You'll Be Doing
To assist in the coordination of the patient safety activities such as monitoring, reporting and investigating patient safety incidences at Camden & Campbelltown Hospital.
* To provide support and assistance to staff with the reporting and investigation of patient safety issues and assist/advise in the implementation of recommendations.
* To be a patient safety resource for Camden & Campbelltown Hospital, providing information and advice on patient safety issues.
* Monitoring the progress and implementation of recommendations from SAER and Harm Score 2incidents.
* Participating in the planning and implementation of an ongoing program of education in various aspects of patient safety management to assist in developing Camden & Campbelltown Hospital staff members' attitudes, skills and knowledge required to adequately manage patient safety issues.

* Current authority to practice with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or such other qualifications and/or senior health professional experience deemed appropriate by the Local Health District.
* Demonstrated understanding and experience in application of clinical practice improvement and continuous quality improvement.
* Experience in leading or implementing patient safety and quality systems in line with MoH Incident Management Policy including ims+ incident management system, and Serious Adverse Event Reports (SAER) and other investigations.
* Highly developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills.
* Demonstrated computer competence with skills in Information Management and knowledge of facility quality and safety systems.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
