Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications
Stellar Solutions seeks a Systems Engineer in Australia to deliver Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services focused on mission system protection. The role involves understanding current and emerging threats, developing mitigation tactics, facilitating training, and providing on-site support. Relocation assistance, housing stipend, cost of living, and allowances are included.
The successful candidate will:
* Serve as ops planning and protection SME, coordinating with the GPOC, command and control, mission protection teams, and other operations teams
* Lead site integration into Joint Planning Process (JP 5-0) forums and working groups
* Organize site participation in exercises and wargames
* Create debriefs to improve space operations and protection
* Collaborate with partners to enable protection decisions
* Understand current and emerging threats with external SMEs
* Develop and deliver Mission Protection training
* Manage schedules for meetings during non-standard hours
* Identify risks and opportunities, providing analysis and recommendations
* Review documents related to new capabilities and integration
* Handle FK&C issues related to mission protection systems in Australia
Qualifications
Required:
* US Citizenship
* Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph and DOD SAP eligibility
* Bachelor's degree with 9+ years relevant experience
* Experience with JP 5-0, tactical and operational planning
* Knowledge of satellite constellations, orbits, ground stations
* Understanding of satellite operations, RF fundamentals, ground systems, and vulnerabilities
* Proactive, able to manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively
* Ability to work independently and in teams, supporting meetings outside standard hours
Desired:
* Advanced degree in STEM with relevant experience
* USAF Weapons School or Space Test School graduate
* Experience as spacecraft or ground systems operator
* Experience with threat assessment and orbital mechanics
* Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles and tools like Jira and Confluence
