About the Role
Working in our Factory Kitchen under the guidance of our Production Manager, you'll play an important supporting role in our day-to-day production. From food preparation and operating filling machinery, to maintaining our high food safety standards, this is a varied, hands-on role where every day contributes to something you can be genuinely proud of.
Responsibilities
* Assisting the Food Factory Cook across all areas of food preparation and production
* Operating filling machines and controlling product flow rates
* Setting up and breaking down equipment at the start and end of each production run
* Monitoring and recording key food safety controls including product temperature, Brix and pH
* Cleaning and sterilising equipment in line with company procedures
* Completing daily paperwork and checks accurately
* Keeping your work area clean, tidy, and compliant with HACCP food safety standards
* Flagging any production issues, hazards, or faulty equipment to management promptly
* Organising your work schedule and environment in accordance with Lean Principles
About You
You don't need to be a professional chef — but you do need a genuine interest in food, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
Qualifications
You will bring:
* Basic knowledge of cooking processes and sterilisation (essential)
* An understanding of food safety principles, including HACCP (or willingness to learn)
* High standards of personal hygiene and presentation
* A reliable, can-do attitude and the ability to follow procedures carefully
* Good attention to detail and a tidy, organised approach to your work
* A willingness to undergo company-funded training as required
* Prior experience in a food production, commercial kitchen, or manufacturing environment would be well regarded, but is not essential — we're happy to support the right person to grow in the role.
