About the opportunity
The Uniting Wahroonga Prep OSHC is licensed for 45 children during After School Care and Vacation Care. As a specialist in Pre-K to Year 6 - Outside of School Hours Care and having a strong knowledge of the National Quality Standards, you will build a strong community culture in the centre and school, liaising with parents and developing staff.
Hours of operation are:
* 7am - 9am Monday to Friday
* 2:30pm- 6:00pm Monday to Friday
* Vacation Care service operates 8am-6pm
In this role, you will be required to work 38 hours per week, with time off allocated for administration tasks.
Essential Requirements
* Qualification in Children Services or Early Childhood Education.
* Approved child protection clearance
* Valid First Aid Course
* Valid Working With Children Check
* Understanding of diversity and inclusive practice
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Commitment to working within the values of Uniting Children, Young People and Families.
What do I need to succeed?
* Approved asthma emergency and anaphylaxis training
* Experience and knowledge of the National Quality Standard – My Time Our Place (MTOP) framework and the Early Years Learning frame work (EYLF).
* Able to demonstrate a genuine love of working with children or caring for children
* Keen eye for identifying and mitigating risks
* Previous experience in leadership role and mentoring colleagues
* Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
