Location: 13 Mulgrave Street, Launceston. This role is based in Launceston within a multidisciplinary team of Medical Officers, Nurses, Social Workers and Lived Experience Advocates. We work closely with the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) offices in Ulverstone and Hobart to deliver excellent healthcare outcomes for consumers, the workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
Responsibilities
* Provide professional and clinical leadership and direction in the strategic development and implementation of a comprehensive multidisciplinary statewide alcohol and other drug consultation liaison service.
* Provide a range of specialist assessments and interventions for clients of the ADS Consultation and Liaison Service in accordance with discipline-specific scope of practice across a range of settings.
* Act as a consultant to the broader Tasmanian Health Service and linked services regarding support and management of clients with alcohol and other drug issues; promote community awareness related to alcohol and other drugs.
You will need
* Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practice used in the treatment and prevention of alcohol and/or other drug dependence, including assessment, harm minimisation framework, and intervention activities in a consultation and liaison service.
* Demonstrated capacity to coordinate/lead within a multidisciplinary community AOD service setting, including providing supervision and support to other staff as required.
* Proven ability to contribute to quality and safety processes at the individual service level.
Details of appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant. This selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies for a period of twelve months.
Salary and benefits
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation on top of this amount.
Salary packaging: access to benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 for meal entertainment each FBT year, and other benefits if eligible.
Allowances: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type (calculated on the salaried incremental point).
In addition, a range of leave entitlements including study leave and Professional Development Support; Fitness Passport program details available on request.
Note: Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.
Essential criteria
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
* Current Working with Children Registration
Desirable criteria
* Holds or is working toward relevant tertiary qualifications
* Postgraduate clinical experience in an alcohol and other drug service
* Current Driver's Licence
