Full Time Positions Available

The Orange Door (1x NEMA – based at Heidelberg & Epping) & (1x HMA – based at Broadmeadows and Sunbury). SCHADS Level 5.

About the Role

As an Adults Using Family Violence Practitioner, you will work within The Orange Door, supporting adults who use family violence to take responsibility for their behaviour, while keeping the safety of women and children front and centre.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, responding to referrals from police and the community, completing risk assessments, engaging in meaningful conversations that invite reflection and change, and connecting people to the right supports – including Men's Behaviour Change Programs and other specialist services.

This is complex, challenging, and deeply rewarding work. You will be supported through supervision, collaboration, and a strong team culture that values learning and reflection.

Key Responsibilities

* Engaging with adults who use family violence in respectful, accountable, and change‐focused conversations
* Completing risk assessments, safety planning, and referrals using the MARAM framework
* Working closely with victim survivor, child wellbeing and partner services
* Keeping clear, accurate records and contributing to shared decision‐making
* Reflecting on your practice through regular supervision and team collaboration

Required Qualifications

* A Bachelor degree in Social Work or a related discipline
* Eligibility for professional membership (e.g., AASW)
* Experience working in the family violence sector, ideally with adults who use violence
* Understanding of MARAM, trauma‐informed and intersectional practice
* A driver's licence, Working With Children Check and Police Check

The Fine Print

* Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC and NDIS Workers Screening Check and a current Victorian Drivers Licence.
