2 x Trading / Application Support Engineer – $700‐825 per day – Leading Investment Bank – Initial 12 month contract
Leading international Investment Bank are looking for both an L2 and L3 Trading / Application support specialist (2 roles). These hires are to provide support for banking / trading applications within the Front Office Derivatives teams.
Application / Production / Trade Support
You will be troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in both production and non‐production environments.
You will work with and collaborate with development teams to analyse and optimise existing trading systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Address critical incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long‐term solutions to prevent recurrence.
Design and Development
Develop, test, and deploy enhancements, bug fixes, and new features.
Ensure the stability and reliability of applications.
Testing
Conduct comprehensive unit, integration, and system tests.
Utilise automated testing tools and frameworks.
Collaboration
Work closely with QA, DevOps to ensure the successful delivery of software and application / production / trading support.
Requirements
* Strong trading/production/application support within an investment bank/capital markets environment, ideally with exposure to Front Office trading systems.
* Skilled within coding and debugging.
* Strong understanding of Java, Python or C++ and OOP concepts.
* Unix / Linux.
* SQL.
* 2+ years of commercial experience within trade/application/production support.
* Ability to code in a primary OOP language and strong problem‐solving and communication skills.
