Tell me about this role: Amentum is seeking a Network Solution Architect to support the design and delivery of complex Defence ICT capabilities. This role is focused on developing and reviewing architecture, ensuring integration across systems, and supporting acquisition and delivery through the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) process. You will play a key role in shaping system designs, working closely with engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, aligned to Defence standards, and delivered effectively across the project lifecycle. What will I be doing day to day? Produce and review project documentation and supplier deliverables to support acquisition stages Lead and contribute to services architecture and solution design activities Provide architectural advice, guidance, and technical assurance across the project Participate in ICT architecture working groups and System Engineering Design (SED) activities Develop and maintain architecture artefacts and supporting documentation Analyse vendor designs and develop technical interface specifications aligned to Defence standards Support system integration requirements and ensure alignment across multiple platforms Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into system specifications Contribute to test and evaluation planning to validate system designs Engage in contract negotiations and industry work package management where required What sort of skills do I need? Bachelor of Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or similar Strong experience in solution architecture and delivery within large, complex ICT or network environments within Defence Knowledge of cyber security principles and their application in system design Solid understanding of systems engineering processes including requirements analysis and interface design Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and project artefacts Ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams, vendors, and project stakeholders Australian citizenship, NV1 security clearance, ITAR compliance What’s in it for me?
