Senior Environmental Advisor Location: Kwinana & Fremantle, WA Contract Duration: Until 31 December 2025 Commencement: ASAP (notice periods considered) Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Rate: $70 per hour + super Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to join their team and contribute to the delivery of the port's Strategic Plan and Environmental Strategy.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic port environment, partnering across divisions and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, policies, and guidelines.
Lead and manage environmental projects, including scope development, scheduling, and budgeting.
Conduct inspections, investigations, audits, and reporting under relevant environmental frameworks.
Analyse and manage environmental data to support strategic decision-making.
Deliver environmental training and inductions to various stakeholders.
Maintain the Environmental Management System to ISO 14001 standards.
Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Management, or Engineering.
Minimum 5 years' experience in environmental management within heavy industry or port settings.
Strong understanding of environmental legislation and best practices.
Proven experience in managing environmental aspects such as dust, water, and waste.
Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
High-level written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive reports and board papers.
