We're Growing. Join Us and Be Part of the Change.
Access Community Housing Company (ACHC) is the largest community housing provider in Cairns — and we're only getting bigger. With more than 650 homes and 1,250 tenants, we deliver housing with purpose, equity, and compassion. We're not just offering a job — we're offering a career with meaning.
As we grow, we're calling on experienced Real Estate Professionals who want more than just another property portfolio — who want to use their skills to create lasting change for vulnerable people across our community.
Why This Role Matters:
We don't just manage properties — we change lives. At ACHC, you'll manage all aspects of tenancy and property management with heart and professionalism, ensuring every tenant feels respected, supported, and secure in their home.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Deliver high-quality tenancy management with respect, dignity, and urgency
* Educate tenants about their rights and responsibilities
* Manage rent, arrears, debts — and solve problems before they escalate
* Conduct inspections, issue and follow up on breaches, and ensure properties are turned around quickly and maintained to standard
* Handle complex tenancy issues and represent ACHC in QCAT when required
* Work alongside support services to help tenants sustain their homes and their dignity
-----------------------------------
What We're Looking For:
* You know housing — and you understand people
* You've managed tenancy portfolios (private or community sector)
* You're confident with tenancy legislation, property operations, and have the resilience to manage complex cases
* You're a strong communicator, a skilled mediator, and know how to de-escalate when things get tough
* You're not afraid of challenging work — because you know it matters
-----------------------------------
Why Join ACHC?
* Competitive Salary + Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging (up to $15,900 tax-free)
* Flexible Work Options and generous leave to support work-life balance
* Career Growth: Professional development funding and real career pathways
* Supportive Culture: A tight-knit team where your voice is heard
* Employee Assistance Program: Because we support you, too
* Make a Real Impact — every single day
