Post-Trade Electrical Training | Osborne Park WA Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual or Contract Opportunities
Coex Training is seeking experienced electricians, electrical supervisors, electrical engineers, and electrical technical specialists to join our team as Electrical Trainers and Assessors delivering specialist post-trade electrical training programs.
This role is suited to electrical professionals who have strong technical knowledge, practical industry experience, and a genuine interest in developing others. You may come from a trade, engineering, supervisory, commissioning, maintenance, operations, compliance, hazardous area, instrumentation, or high voltage background.
Based at our Osborne Park training facility, the role also includes opportunities to deliver training in regional areas and at client sites where required.
About the Role
You will deliver and assess practical, industry-focused training programs for electrical workers, supervisors, engineers, technicians, contractors, and industry personnel across a range of specialist areas, including:
* High Voltage Switching Operations
* Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas
* Certificate IV in Instrumentation and Control — Electrical
* WA Electrical Contractors Course — Electrical Nominee Component
* Restricted Electrical Licence Training
* Electrical Incident Investigation
* Electrical Worker Competency Training
* Customised technical training programs for industry clients
The role involves supporting learners to develop safe, compliant, and technically sound work practices across post-trade electrical environments.
About You
We are looking for professionals who are technically competent, safety-focused, and motivated to share their knowledge with others.
You may have experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Electrical trade work, supervision, maintenance or commissioning
* Electrical engineering, design, compliance or technical support
* High voltage switching, isolation, access permits and switching programs
* Hazardous areas installation, inspection, design, verification or compliance
* Instrumentation and control systems
* Electrical contracting, electrical nominee or supervisory responsibilities
* Electrical safety, statutory compliance or operational risk management
* Electrical incident investigation
* Competency assessment, mentoring or technical leadership
* Industrial, mining, utilities, infrastructure, manufacturing or defence environments
This position may suit experienced electricians looking to move into training, electrical engineers seeking a more practical industry-facing role, existing trainers, semi-retired professionals, or technical specialists who want to remain engaged with industry while developing the next generation of electrical workers.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
The following will be highly regarded:
* Electrical trade qualification and/or electrical engineering qualification
* Current or previous electrical licence
* Electrical supervisory, nominee, engineering, commissioning or technical compliance experience
* Post-trade electrical industry experience
* Strong communication, mentoring and presentation skills
* Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and practically
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to complete it
* Experience delivering or assessing nationally recognised training
Previous training experience is desirable but not essential. Support will be provided to the right applicant transitioning from industry or engineering into a training role.
