Job Description:
The IELTS Operations Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the fair and proper conduct of testing, adhering to IELTS rules and regulations. This position requires exceptional communication skills, as you will be interacting with test takers from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all customers receive an exemplary customer experience at every contact point.
* Create a welcoming environment for customers, responding promptly to their inquiries and needs.
* Follow established communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
* Set up test rooms and equipment, closely following and enforcing test procedures and regulations.
* Verify and update customer details, provide Identity Authentication Management (IAM), and maintain confidentiality.
* Monitor attendance during the test, addressing queries and dealing with test irregularities in accordance with procedure.
* Escort test takers during breaks, ensuring no unauthorized material is consulted and that test regulations are observed.
* Read test scripts, advise customers on test rules, and distribute, collect, and securely maintain test day materials.
* Invigilate during the test, preventing any form of collaboration among test takers.
* Record details and manage late arrivals, early leavers, and other incidents during the test.
Requirements:
* Working rights within Australia.
* Understanding and commitment to maintaining appropriate standards of confidentiality and security of materials.
* Proven customer service experience (one year minimum).
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Excellent communication skills – must be able to communicate with candidates from various English and non-English speaking countries.
* Ability to respond flexibly to changes in priorities and time management skills.
* Dependability, reliability, punctuality.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Availability to work on weekends.
* Must be technologically savvy.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, basic diagnosis, and troubleshooting of computer software, hardware, peripherals, and networks.
Working Conditions:
This is a casual position supporting IELTS testing at Melbourne, Victoria. Shifts include weekdays and/or weekends, with 2-3 shifts per week. The remuneration for this role is $33.77 per hour.
