Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fitter Machinist for a full-time, on-site role in the Greater Sydney Area. The Fitter Machinist will perform day-to-day tasks including assembling, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, precision machining, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and collaborating with the team to ensure efficient operations. The role may also involve contributing to new equipment design and fabrication while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Proficiency in machine operation, maintenance, and hands-on machining skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Experience in equipment assembly, repair, and troubleshooting mechanical systems
Knowledge of fabrication techniques and tools, welding experience is an advantage
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team and follow safety protocols
Previous experience in the food, beverage, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries is a plus
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification
