Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Peer Practitioner, working with individuals who are experiencing psychological distress. As a Peer Practitioner, you will deliver person-centred, recovery-oriented support, drawing on your own experiences and expertise.
You will work collaboratively with clients to develop and implement plans that promote their wellbeing, strengthen daily living skills, and foster hope, resilience, and purposeful living. You will also participate in regular training, peer co-reflection, and professional development to enhance your practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health, Peer Work, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), or other health-related field as designated by the employer.
* Previous experience in using lived experience and expertise in a dedicated Peer role is highly desirable.
* Experience, expertise, and/or desire to work directly with people with mental health issues, as well as their families and carers.
