The Role
Are you passionate about cutting-edge technology and helping farmers succeed? As a Field Service Technician at SwarmFarm Robotics, you'll be at the heart of ensuring customer satisfaction and the success of our autonomous farming equipment.
This is a hands-on role that performs diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on SwarmBot robots. It also encompasses customer engagement and liaising with the engineering team.
What you'll be doing
Main Responsibilities
* Traveling to customers across Queensland to diagnose, repair and maintain all systems on robots. This includes electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
* Providing out of hours service when scheduled on support.
* Providing "over the phone" diagnostics and first line support of robots out in the field.
* Maintaining job ticket monitoring of customer faults through our ticketing software.
* Maintaining a professional image of the company.
Other Responsibilities
* Promote company products and services. Assist sales with information as required.
* Assist with training and support to help customers succeed with our technology.
* Assist with documentation and process improvement.
* Maintain and look after your company vehicle, equipment and tools.
Reporting
* Report directly to the Portfolio Manager responsible for your region.
* Track travel time and time on site as well as use of spare parts.
* Collect overall machine condition for preventive maintenance scheduling.
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for someone who's as passionate about SwarmFarm's mission as we are and who is laser-focused on helping our farmer customers thrive. Here's what we think makes the ideal candidate:
Experience, Education and/or Knowledge
* Practical experience in on-farm or trade roles is an advantage.
* A trade qualification in mechanical, auto electrics or electronics is highly regarded.
* Proven experience in customer relationship management, preferably in agriculture.
* Keen interest in agricultural technology.
* Proven problem-solving, organisation, and task prioritising skills.
Skills & Attributes
* Passionate about the SwarmFarm mission and have an unrelenting focus on the success of our farmer customers.
* Demonstrated ability to diagnose, repair, and document electrical faults
* A passion for agricultural machinery and all things mechanical and electrical.
* Patience and be able to sort out difficult problems over the phone or in the field.
* Well organised, proactive, and with a high level of attention to detail.
* Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
* Flexibility to travel as required.
* Strong communication skills and able to build rapport with farmers and staff.
* Valid Australian drivers licence (essential for travel to customer sites)
