Our Digital team is seeking a Digital Channels Specialist to support the Climate Change and Sustainability Division within the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
You will be assisting the management of the digital channels that underpin the New South Wales Government’s sustainability, climate change and net zero emissions policy agenda.
About You
You are an effective communicator and collaborator who can engage with and influence a variety of stakeholders to help design and deliver high quality user-focused digital services that meet evolving priorities.
You are skilled at working with both digital and non-technical partners to identify emerging needs and provide technical advice and expertise in line with our Digital Strategy. You are successful in these endeavours by bringing a positive and results-driven attitude to all your work.
As a Digital Channels Specialist, you:
8. are an expert in the management of websites and related digital channels
9. understand web development processes and project management techniques
10. Will work in partnership with our Marketing and Communications team to create, publish and monitor high-quality content for a range of audiences
11. engage your extensive experience of best practice principles across digital platforms, including human-centered design, web accessibility (WCAG AA) and UX research
12. have experience across a suite of technologies and tools, including content management systems (Drupal), eDM systems ( Campaign Monitor) and web analytics tools ( Google Analytics, Looker) or SEO (SEMrush)
13. champion digital content strategy across a suite of platforms to empower content teams to create, approve and publish content
14. enjoy learning new techniques, tools and systems, and sharing your knowledge

Our Digital team works in a supportive, high-performing and fast-paced environment alongside the Division’s program teams to ensure the best results for our customers and NSW. The Digital team manages a suite of digital platforms and systems, ensuring best practices are applied across disciplines including user experience, accessibility, content and data management and product lifecycle management.

DCCEEW conserves and protects the state’s natural environment. It manages the NSW National Park estate, including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.
DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state, to support the environment, communities and industry.
