 
        
        Your key responsibilities 
You will be required to fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the Queensland Public Service values. 
Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, protected services and workplaces. 
Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with QPS values as outlined above. 
Accurately document maintenance activities in the relevant information systems. 
Assist more senior practitioners with the management of locally based resources including spare parts, manuals and test equipment. 
Communicate and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members and managers, to achieve service delivery objectives. 
More senior practitioners at the HP2 classification may be responsible for quality of work output, training and support of fellow team members, and supervision of small work groups. 
Key competencies (role specific criteria) 
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following: 
Knowledge and experience in electronic and/or mechanical technologies, general engineering and other technologies associated with health technology equipment. 
Willingness to provide guidance and support to students and less experienced practitioners. 
High level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders/clients under the direction of more senior practitioners. 
Commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement. 
Honesty, integrity and respect for all staff, clients and other health care workers.
