Job Title
Fire Suppression Technician
Overview
Pay: $***** per hour (flat rate). 7/7 roster, day shift only. Permanent role.
What You Will Be Doing
- Service, inspect, and maintain fire suppression systems on mobile mining equipment.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and compliance inspections.
- Respond to breakdowns and perform fault finding and diagnostics.
- Carry out repairs, component replacements, and system testing.
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and site procedures.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
- Liaise with site personnel to minimise equipment downtime and maximise system reliability.
What You Will Need
- Previous experience working on fire suppression systems, preferably within the mining industry.
- Hold a current QQBCC Licence.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a field service environment.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- White Card (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and workmanship standards.
- Ability to pass mine site medicals and drug alcohol testing requirements as required by clients.
